Desert Aire Airport is a public use general aviation airport owned by the Desert Aire Owners Association who lease it to Grant County Airport District #1. There is a 5-person elected airport commission who meet monthly.

A new 3,665 foot-long, 60 foot-wide hot-mixed asphalt runway was completed at Desert Aire Airport in 2015. It is rated for 18,000 lb. aircraft and accommodates fixed-wing planes, ultralights and helicopters. Plane tiedown parking is available. Transient parking is available at the southeast and southwest ends of the runway.

Runway lighting is pilot-controlled during night-time. Lights turn themselves off after 30 minutes.

Life Flight Medical Transport. ICU-level fixed-wing air and EMS helicopter transport service to trauma centers in Tri-Cities, Yakima, and Seattle is provided to Desert Aire by MedStar Northwest, which joined Life Flight Network in April 2016.

Local residents must sign up for this service. Cost for new membership is $60/year to $1,000 for a lifetime membership. For more information, please visit www.lifeflight.org or call (800) 982‑9299. Airport Homes. It is unusual for a resort to also be a fly-in community. Privately owned airport homes adjoin the Desert Aire Airport runway on both the north and south sides. Direct access to the airport is allowed from each lot.
